To the eye
A beautiful pale gold colour, luminous and crystal-clear, with silvery highlights that emphasise its freshness.

Nose
Intense, classic and of great purity. The initial nose offers aromas of fresh citrus, white peach and hawthorn blossom. As it opens up, the wine reveals the nobility of its origins and ageing: comforting notes of fresh almond, brown butter and toasted brioche, all enveloped by a pronounced mineral character reminiscent of rubbed stone.

Palate
The attack is smooth and sumptuous. It displays the fullness and natural richness for which Meursault is world-renowned. However, this fleshy richness is immediately balanced by the structure and finely chiselled acidity of the 2019 vintage. The finish is vibrant, long, mouth-watering and deliciously briny.

Pairing
A fine dining white wine that calls for refined, textured dishes. It pairs superbly with pan-fried sweetbreads, Bresse chicken in a cream and morel sauce, roast lobster or scallops. For a cheese platter, it pairs exceptionally well with a 24-month-old Comté or a mature Beaufort. Ideal serving temperature: 12°C to 13°C.

Aging potential
The 2019 vintage offers a masterful balance that makes the wine extremely charming even at this stage. Nevertheless, its concentration and lovely acidity give it ageing potential of 7 to 10 years in the cellar, where it will develop sumptuous aromas of honey and toasted hazelnut.
