Discover Mugneret-Gibourg Wines

The Mugneret-Gibourg Domaine, located in Vosne-Romanée, is one of the most prestigious and beloved estates in the Côte de Nuits. Founded in 1933 by Georges Mugneret, this family-run, female-led estate is now managed by his daughters, Marie-Christine and Marie-Andrée, along with the new generation carrying on their legacy. Mugneret-Gibourg wines are renowned for their absolute grace and timeless elegance.

Terroir and Characteristics

The domaine boasts an exceptional vineyard heritage, including jewels such as Ruchottes-Chambertin, Clos de Vougeot, and Échezeaux, as well as superb plots in Vosne-Romanée and Nuits-Saint-Georges ('Les Chaignots'). The calcareous clay and limestone soils, combined with a temperate climate, provide ideal conditions for growing grapes of outstanding quality. Viticulture here is practiced with utmost precision to ensure perfectly balanced grapes.

Wine Profile

Mugneret-Gibourg wines are recognized for their silky texture, captivating floral bouquet, and masterful balance. The vinification process favors gentle infusion over power extraction, resulting in refined, structured wines with great finesse. The emblematic Pinot Noir expresses its full complexity here, showcasing notes of red fruits, spices, and sometimes mineral hints characteristic of Burgundy terroir.

Food Pairings

These wines pair exquisitely with refined and subtle cuisine. They beautifully complement dishes such as Époisses cheese, aged Comté, duck breast, or a fillet of beef with mushrooms. These pairings highlight the finesse and elegance of the wines while respecting their delicate structure.
