Discover Côte de Nuits

The Côte de Nuits is one of the prestigious jewels of the Burgundy wine region, renowned worldwide for its great red wines made exclusively from the Pinot Noir grape. Stretching from Dijon to Corgoloin, this narrow strip of land holds some of the most famous villages and climats of the Burgundy vineyard, such as Gevrey-Chambertin, Vosne-Romanée, Nuits-Saint-Georges, and Chambolle-Musigny.

Terroir and Characteristics

The terroir of the Côte de Nuits is based on limestone and marl soils, ideally exposed to the east or southeast, allowing for slow and balanced grape ripening. This region encompasses the majority of Burgundy Grand Cru red wines, as well as many renowned Premier Cru and communal appellations noted for their consistent quality.

Wine Profile

Côte de Nuits wines are recognized for their depth, finesse, and remarkable aging potential. They develop complex aromas combining red and black fruits, soft spices, floral notes, as well as evolving hints of truffle and leather. On the palate, their elegant structure, silky texture, and controlled power reflect the quality of Pinot Noir nurtured on these exceptional terroirs.

Food Pairings

Côte de Nuits red wines pair perfectly with refined dishes such as roast poultry, red meats, mushrooms, game, or aged cheeses like Époisses. They offer moments of emotion and sharing with exquisite meals.
