To the eye
A deep straw-gold colour, with great brilliance and slightly golden highlights.

Nose
A powerful and elegant bouquet. It features notes of fresh butter, toasted hazelnut and white flowers (hawthorn). Once aerated, it reveals a ‘stony’ and salty character, typical of the great terroirs of Meursault.

Palate
The attack is broad and enveloping, offering impressive volume on the palate. The wine is rich and savoury, yet immediately held together by a very firm backbone of acidity. This is a wine of great texture, where the richness of the fruit is balanced by a noble bitterness on the finish that lends it length.

Pairing
A wine that calls for a meal: Bresse chicken in cream sauce, a fillet of sole in beurre blanc, or a 24-month-aged Comté.
