A deep, brilliant and crystal-clear ruby colour, with garnet highlights that reflect the fine concentration of the 2020 vintage.
An expressive, rich bouquet. It reveals notes of ripe black cherry, wild raspberry and a delicate floral hint of violet. As it opens up, a hint of sweet spices and liquorice adds complexity to the overall profile.
The attack is bold and full-bodied. The wine is dense, underpinned by silky, well-integrated tannins. It is a wine that offers lovely volume on the palate, whilst retaining a briny freshness that lingers on the finish.
It pairs perfectly with duck breast with cherries, roast veal with mushrooms, or hard cheeses such as an 18-month-old Comté.
Thanks to the quality of the 2020 vintage and the estate’s meticulous winemaking, this wine will continue to improve steadily until 2032.
