To the eye
A pale gold colour with silvery highlights, indicative of great purity.
Nose
A floral, spring-like bouquet of great finesse. It features notes of hawthorn, acacia and fresh lemon. As it breathes, a hint of fresh hazelnut and that signature minerality typical of the Puligny terroirs add complexity to the wine.
Palate
The attack is lively and direct. On the palate, it offers a delicately satiny texture, with crisp fruit (green apple, pear). This is a wine characterised by tension and verticality, underpinned by a refined acidity that draws out the structure. The balance is remarkable: it has the depth of a great white wine and the drinkability of a regional appellation.
Pairing
Perfect with a steamed cod fillet, prawns grilled with Guérande salt, or fresh goat’s cheese from the Mâconnais.
Aging potential
Compared to 2026, this 2023 is bursting with youthfulness. It’s best enjoyed now for its fruitiness, but it may improve over the next 5 to 7 years.
