To the eye
A bright, crystal-clear ruby colour, with lovely garnet and raspberry hues, typical of the gentle extraction process used for the 2021 vintage.

Nose
Very elegant, pure and light. It reveals an immediate bouquet of tangy red berries (redcurrant, raspberry, morello cherry), delicately underpinned by floral notes (violet, rose) and a very refined hint of spice. The character of the terroir comes through with a subtle earthy and undergrowth note.

Palate
The attack is fresh and easy to drink. The wine offers a delicate profile, underpinned by precise, fine and silky tannins. On the palate, it is lively and slender, with a fruity mid-palate that is full of energy. The finish is wonderfully mouth-watering, lingering and beautifully pure.

Pairing
This delicate, fragrant Pinot Noir is the perfect accompaniment to a lovely oven-roasted poultry dish, rabbit in mustard sauce, or a rack of veal with mushrooms. When it comes to cheese, opt for soft cheeses that aren’t too mature, so as not to overpower the fruitiness, such as Chaource, Brie or a young Reblochon. Serve at between 15°C and 16°C.

Aging potential
Highly appealing and ready to drink now thanks to its approachable 2021 profile, it nevertheless possesses the balance needed to develop beautifully in the cellar for 5 to 8 years, during which time it will gain in roundness and develop tertiary notes (leather, blond tobacco).
