To the eye
A pure, brilliant gold colour, with subtle amber highlights resulting from the extended ageing and the maturity of the 2016 vintage.

Nose
A complex and refined bouquet. It features the classic characteristics of a great Meursault: toasted hazelnut, fresh butter and white flowers. As it opens up, notes of acacia honey emerge, along with a mineral quality (limestone) that reflects the nobility of its Premier Cru status.

Palate
The attack is broad and powerful, true to the Meursault appellation. The mid-palate is rich and enveloping, with a silky texture. However, the wine retains a very firm backbone thanks to the natural acidity of its high-altitude plot. The balance between richness and tension is masterful.

Pairing
A wine for special occasions. Ideal with grilled lobster, chicken in a cream and morel sauce, or turbot with hollandaise sauce. Serve at 12–14°C. At this stage (10 years after harvest), decanting for 30 minutes will allow the wine to regain its full brilliance.

Aging potential
This 2016 vintage is now entering its prime drinking window. Thanks to the Bourrée estate’s winemaking style, it still has immense ageing potential and will continue to develop beautifully until 2035.
