Discover Domaine de la Sarazinière

Domaine de la Sarazinière is a historic family-owned winery located in Bussières, in the southern part of the Burgundy region, within the Saône-et-Loire department. Founded in 1926 by the Trémeau family, this estate is a renowned benchmark of the Mâcon-Bussières appellation.

Terroir and Characteristics

The unique terroir of the Mâconnais is defined by clay-limestone soils that impart a striking minerality and aromatic complexity to its wines. The vineyard mainly consists of old Chardonnay vines for white wines and Gamay vines for red wines, notably under the Mâcon and Burgundy appellations. Dedicated to environmentally respectful viticulture, the estate employs careful soil work and hand harvesting to best express the distinctive qualities of its terroir.

Wine Profile

Vinifications are often carried out using indigenous yeasts, producing authentic, balanced wines true to their terroir. The whites from the estate are characterized by generosity and a beautiful mineral tension, while the reds are supple and fruity, showcasing the finesse of Gamay.

Food Pairings

The cuvées from Domaine de la Sarazinière pair excellently with a variety of dishes: aged cheeses such as Époisses, white meats in sauce, grilled fish, and traditional Burgundian cuisine. Their freshness and balance also complement spicier fare.
