Domaine Combier, located in Pont-de-l’Isère in the northern Rhône Valley, is a key reference of the Crozes-Hermitage appellation. Founded in the 1930s, it is now led by third-generation winemaker Laurent Combier. Passion, rigor, and respect for the terroir are central to their philosophy.
The estate covers about thirty hectares farmed using organic agriculture for decades, well before it became a trend. The soils, mainly composed of loess and alluvium, paired with a temperate climate, enable producing wines with great finesse and aromatic expression.
The red wines, crafted primarily from Syrah, are distinguished by notes of black fruits, violet, pepper, and garrigue. They offer an elegant and harmonious palate. The white wines, made from Marsanne and Roussanne, showcase freshness, balance, and subtle aromas of white flowers and stone fruits.
Domaine Combier cuvées pair wonderfully with grilled meats, sauced dishes, roasted vegetables, and refined cheeses such as Saint-Marcellin or Tomme de Savoie. These wines combine gourmandise with precision, reflecting the quality of northern Rhône wines.
