Discover Côtes de Provence

The Côtes de Provence appellation is the largest and oldest in the Provence region, famed for its high-quality rosé wines as well as aromatic red and white wines. Located in southeastern France, this appellation benefits from a warm Mediterranean climate and varied soils that contribute to the richness and diversity of its wines.

Terroir and Characteristics

The Côtes de Provence terroir features soils made of schist, sandstone, clay, and rolled pebbles, with typical Mediterranean sun exposure. This geological diversity allows the expression of emblematic grape varieties such as grenache, syrah, mourvèdre, and cinsault for reds and rosés, alongside rolle (vermentino), clairette, and ugni blanc for whites.

Wine Profile

Côtes de Provence rosés are celebrated for their freshness, elegance, and delicate fruitiness, showing aromas of strawberry, raspberry, peach, and white flowers. Their pale and luminous color reflects their lightness and finesse. The reds offer rich aromatic profiles with red and black fruits, spices, and garrigue notes, balanced by well-structured tannins. The whites are fresh, floral, citrusy, with a pleasant mineral touch.

Food Pairings

Côtes de Provence wines pair wonderfully with Mediterranean cuisine, including seafood, fresh salads, grilled dishes, and Provençal dishes with aromatic herbs. Their versatility makes them ideal for aperitifs, summer meals, and convivial moments.
