Discover Harmand-Geoffroy

Harmand-Geoffroy Estate is a distinguished family-run winery located in the heart of Gevrey-Chambertin, within the renowned Côte de Nuits region. Led by Philippe Harmand, the domaine manages a 9-hectare vineyard exclusively in Gevrey-Chambertin, showcasing deep expertise of this unique terroir. With an average vine age of 50 years, the estate benefits from an exceptional heritage of old vines, including prestigious Premier Cru parcels such as Les Champeaux, Lavaux Saint-Jacques, and La Perrière.

Terroir and Characteristics

The Gevrey-Chambertin terroir is characterized by clay-limestone soils that provide a rich mineral backbone, perfectly expressing the Pinot Noir grape. The unique topography and climate of the Côte de Nuits enhance the wines with refined texture and elegance. The domaine carefully manages vinification with precise oak aging, including a balanced use of new barrels, to respect the fruit and unique identity of each vineyard plot.

Wine Profile

Harmand-Geoffroy wines are renowned for their classic structure and refined elegance. Their remarkable aging potential allows harmonious development over many years. The domaine’s flagship, the Grand Cru Mazis-Chambertin, delivers a powerful, noble, and deeply expressive full-bodied red wine.

Food Pairings

These wines pair particularly well with traditional Burgundy dishes like beef bourguignon, aged cheeses such as Époisses, roasted poultry with mushrooms, as well as game and wild mushroom dishes, thanks to their balanced structure and aromatic complexity.
