Château Sociando-Mallet is an outstanding estate located in the Haut-Médoc region on Bordeaux’s left bank. Although it is not classified in the 1855 classification, the estate is renowned for consistently producing powerful, elegant red wines with great finesse. It perfectly represents the classic style of prestigious Médoc wines, offering a remarkable balance between structure and complex aromas.

Terroir and Characteristics

The vineyard is planted on gravel soils which encourage the development of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, complemented by Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. This unique terroir, combined with a temperate climate, gives wines with a harmonious structure and outstanding aging potential.

Wine Profile

Château Sociando-Mallet wines display a deep, intense color. The complex nose reveals aromas of black fruits, spices, cedar, and toast notes. On the palate, the wines are broad and silky with elegantly integrated tannins, finishing long and refined, reflecting the estate's high expertise.

Food Pairings

These wines pair perfectly with grilled red meats, game, and aged cheeses such as Époisses or aged Comté, highlighting the wine’s powerful and elegant character while preserving its natural balance.
