Discover Louis Picamelot

Since 1926, the Louis Picamelot House, located in Rully, has been recognized as a major and historic producer of Crémant de Bourgogne. Under the leadership of Philippe Chautard, the founder's grandson, this house has elevated Burgundy sparkling wines to a level of excellence rivaling the finest French sparkling wines. The philosophy of Louis Picamelot is based on a rigorous vineyard selection and extended lees aging, often far beyond the appellation's requirements, resulting in remarkable aromatic complexity and fine bubbles.

Terroir and Characteristics

The estate cultivates its own vineyards in the Côte Chalonnaise and Côte de Beaune, producing iconic cuvées such as the Terroirs and Grands Terroirs, including the famous "En Chazot" in Saint-Aubin. The limestone and clay-limestone soils combined with the region's temperate climate provide the wines with a perfect balance of freshness and richness.

Wine Profile

Louis Picamelot wines are distinguished by their freshness, aromatic elegance, and creamy texture. Whether Blanc de Blancs, Blanc de Noirs, or vintage cuvées, each bottle expresses a fine minerality and exceptional bubble finesse that will delight lovers of gastronomic Crémant de Bourgogne.

Food Pairings

These sparkling wines pair perfectly with refined dishes such as Burgundy snails, foie gras, delicate fish like trout, or matured cheeses such as Comté or Chaource. Their crispness enlivens aperitifs and complements light desserts.
