Discover Domaine Giraud
Domaine Giraud, located in the prestigious Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation, is a family-owned estate emblematic of the Southern Rhône. Renowned for the quality and purity of its wines, it has been crafted through generations. Today, Marie and François Giraud lead the estate, blending tradition and terroir identity with a modern approach.
Terroir and Characteristics
The vineyard covers approximately 35 hectares, spread across some of the finest terroirs in Châteauneuf-du-Pape and Côtes-du-Rhône. The soils consist of rolled pebbles, sands, and red clays, ideal for cultivating classic Rhône grape varieties: primarily Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre.
Wine Profile
Red wines from Domaine Giraud are distinguished by their intensity and elegance. They exhibit aromas of ripe black fruits, spices, garrigue, and sometimes truffle, with a full-bodied palate, silky tannins, and a fresh finish. The white wines, produced in limited quantities, express great aromatic purity, combining white flowers, citrus, and mineral notes.
Food Pairings
Domaine Giraud wines pair wonderfully with Mediterranean dishes such as Provençal stew, roasted meats, game (venison, wild boar), and refined cheeses like Époisses or aged Comté. Their aromatic complexity and structure provide an excellent balance to elevate your dining experience.
