Discover Roc Breïa

Roc Breïa is a visionary and bold wine project located in the heart of the Mâconnais, led by Théo Dancer, son of the renowned Vincent Dancer. This 10-hectare estate perched on the heights of Bray aims to challenge the traditional codes of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. The approach is based on extremely rigorous viticulture, free from chemical inputs, to restore life to exceptional limestone soils.

Terroir and Characteristics

The exceptional terroir of Roc Breïa rests on limestone soils that provide freshness and mineral complexity to the wines. The organic and biodynamic farming methods enhance the soil's vitality and respect natural cycles, highlighting the authentic character of the emblematic grape varieties, Chardonnay for whites and Pinot Noir for reds. The temperate, sunny climate of the Mâconnais ensures optimal grape maturity while preserving freshness and aromatic finesse.

Wine Profile

In the cellar, the winemaking philosophy follows a controlled hands-off approach: indigenous yeasts only, no chaptalization, no added sulfur during fermentation, and subtle aging in old barrels to maintain aromatic purity. The Chardonnay white offers a saline energy, vibrant tension, and remarkable elegance, while the Pinot Noir red stands out with delicate tannins, bright fruit expression, and a stylistic precision rare for the region.

Food Pairings

Roc Breïa wines pair elegantly with refined dishes such as Bresse chicken with morels, mushroom risotto, aged Époisses cheese, or a selection of artisan charcuterie. Their freshness and aromatic complexity make them ideal companions for gastronomic meals and discerning tastings.
