Discover Ventoux

The Ventoux appellation, located in the heart of the Vaucluse in Provence, benefits from a unique terroir dominated by Mont Ventoux and its sun-kissed slopes. This region produces red, white and rosé wines with bold and balanced character, reflecting the typical Mediterranean climate and the diversity of clay-limestone and sandy-silty soils.

Terroir and Characteristics

The terroir of Ventoux is defined by varied soils that deeply influence the wines’ structure. The south-facing slopes enjoy optimal sunlight, while the regular winds help to balance the vines. Key grape varieties such as Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre dominate the red wines, bringing complexity and rich aromas of red and black fruits, spicy notes and sometimes garrigue nuances. For the whites, varieties like Clairette, Bourboulenc and Roussanne offer freshness, elegance and a floral and fruity bouquet.

Wine Profile

Ventoux red wines are known for their supple tannins, smooth roundness and balanced structure, suitable for moderate ageing. White wines display freshness and finesse, while the region’s rosés are recognized for their lightness and aromatic appeal, perfect for aperitifs or summer meals.

Food Pairings

Ventoux wines pair excellently with grilled meats, sauced fish, Mediterranean dishes such as ratatouille, as well as aged cheeses like Banon or Picodon. They also accompany roasted vegetables and convivial meals beautifully.
