Discover Petit Roy

Domaine Petit-Roy is the personal project of Seiichi Saito, a talented Japanese winemaker who has become one of the most respected rising stars in the new Burgundy. After training with famed estates such as Simon Bize, Mugnier, and Armand Rousseau, Seiichi settled in Chorey-les-Beaune in 2017. His approach combines precise technical skills with a natural philosophy.

Terroir and Characteristics

The estate is managed using biodynamic farming with extreme care, including the use of plant-based preparations to enhance soil and vine vitality. The Chorey-les-Beaune terroir is expressed through minimalist vinification techniques, often whole-bunch harvests, little to no sulfur, and extended aging in old barrels to reveal fruit purity and finesse.

Wine Profile

Petit Roy's cuvées, whether vibrant Aligoté whites or refined reds such as Chorey-les-Beaune and Savigny-les-Beaune, are notable for their incredible energy, airy texture, and crystalline fruit purity. These wines offer great digestibility, elegance, and depth, perfectly embodying living wines that express their terroir with great sensitivity.

Food Pairings

Petit Roy wines pair wonderfully with refined dishes such as coq au vin, farm chicken, Époisses cheese, and sweetbreads. Their freshness and fine structure make them excellent gastronomic companions.
