A powerful nose, with notes of basalt and tobacco leaves, accented by hints of cooked fruit and Agen prunes, as well as touches of black raspberry, cherry and new leather.
Palate
A powerful, well-structured palate, brimming with richness, with aromas of fresh strawberry, raspberry and cherry compote, combined with subtle notes of thyme, cade and sweet spices.
Pairing
Roast lamb or lamb in a herb crust, red meat in a sauce, game, or mature cheeses. Serve at 16–17°C, decanted.
Aging potential
Excellent ageing potential: this truly distinguished Grenache can be kept and will continue to develop for 15 to 20 years.
