To the eye
A deep, dense and brilliant garnet colour, typical of the great wines of Gevrey-Chambertin (the colour is still somewhat youthful at this stage).
Nose
The nose is characterised by dark fruit, lively and fresh, typical of the freshness unique to this vineyard. The cuvée’s usual signature comes through: spices, liquorice, mineral notes and a hint of undergrowth.
Palate
A juicy, full-bodied palate, with lovely vigour and more pronounced tannins than in the estate’s neighbouring wines — a penetrating and promising wine, still young and best left to develop in the cellar.
Pairing
Roast venison, rack of lamb, grilled entrecôte, pheasant salmis, or smoked duck breast. Serve at 15–16°C, decanted if enjoyed young.
Aging potential
Excellent ageing potential: this wine is still very young and will benefit from being left to mature for several years in the cellar, with an estimated drinking window extending until 2040.
