Discover Domaine Les Monts Fournois

Domaine Les Monts Fournois is one of the most exciting and high-quality projects to have recently emerged in Champagne. Led by the Bérèche family, renowned for the famous Domaine Bérèche & Fils, this estate highlights the exceptional terroir of the northern Montagne de Reims, particularly the Ludes area. This boutique négociant house takes a winemaker’s approach, with a rigorous vineyard selection and an attention to detail bordering on perfection.

Terroir and Characteristics

The terroir of Les Monts Fournois benefits from remarkable geological richness, typical of the Montagne de Reims with its chalky-clay soils. Selected parcels come from prestigious crus, including Grand Cru sites like Verzy and Verzenay, as well as Premier Cru vineyards. The cool and humid climate combined with these soils ensures a slow maturation, imparting excellent freshness and balance to the grapes. The winemaking often involves aging in oak, following a precise and rigorous philosophy to deliver wines of great textural density while retaining a vibrant mineral tension.

Wine Profile

The cuvées from Domaine Les Monts Fournois are known for their controlled power and remarkable textural depth. The long, careful aging provides intense aromatic complexity, blending ripe fruit notes, delicate spices, and profound minerality. These champagnes have a distinct signature identity tailored for lovers of auteur wines, seeking depth, finesse, and personality.

Food Pairings

Thanks to their structure and elegance, these champagnes pair beautifully with refined and delicate dishes such as:

  • lobster with vanilla or citrus
  • wild mushroom risotto
  • aged cheeses like Comté or Brillat-Savarin
  • Bresse poultry with morel mushrooms
