To the eye
A fresh, intense purple colour, typical of a young Vosne-Romanée.
Nose
The nose offers aromas of black fruit, with subtle hints of undergrowth and graphite, which unfold slowly in the glass; as it breathes, spicy notes of clove and aniseed emerge, which are very typical of Vosne.
Palate
Medium-bodied on the palate, with fine, exceptionally pure tannins. The balance is remarkable, taut and elegant, leading to a crisp, delicate finish — a refined rather than powerful Premier Cru.
Pairing
Wild boar terrine, venison, cep mushrooms stuffed Bordelaise-style, venison stew, beef, or the classic Burgundian ‘œuf en meurette’. Serve at 17–18°C.
Aging potential
A refined and precise wine, with an estimated ageing potential of between 10 and 15 years — geared more towards immediate and medium-term elegance than towards very long-term ageing potential.
