To the eye
A brilliant golden colour, with fine, consistent bubbles.
Nose
A dense, structured nose, with notes of candied orange peel, a hint of smoked tea and notes of roasted almonds.
Palate
Rich and creamy on the palate, with notes of ripe apple, underpinned by lingering freshness and a fine, tight texture. A subtle toasty note rounds off and adds structure to the finish.
Pairing
Roast poultry, fine fish in sauce, or as an aperitif with lightly spiced dishes. Serve well chilled, between 8 and 10°C.
Aging potential
Best enjoyed now: at 20 years old, this vintage has passed the drinking window originally recommended by critics (until 2020). Now is the ideal time to enjoy it, provided you check the level and condition of the bottle beforehand.
