To the eye
The wine has a brilliant ruby-red colour with delicate purplish highlights, displaying the beautiful clarity and intensity characteristic of a young, elegant Pinot Noir.

Nose
The nose is delicate and expressive, revealing aromas of crisp cherry, raspberry, redcurrant and pomegranate, accompanied by notes of violet, sweet spices, white pepper and a slight smoky hint resulting from whole-bunch vinification.

Palate
The palate is fresh, sleek and particularly easy to drink. The tannins are silky, the texture delicate, and the mineral backbone lends the wine great structure. Flavours of fresh red berries and spices linger on a long, precise and highly elegant finish, true to Chanterêves’ refined style.

Pairing
This 2023 Bourgogne Champs Pommiers will pair perfectly with roast poultry, veal fillet, pink-roasted duck breast or guinea fowl with mushrooms. It will also pair well with traditional Burgundian cuisine, a risotto with porcini mushrooms or mature soft-set cheeses. To bring out the full subtlety of its aromas, we recommend serving it at between 15 and 16 °C after allowing it to breathe briefly.

Aging potential
Already very appealing in its youth thanks to its vibrant fruit and freshness, this 2023 Bourgogne Champs Pommiers can also be laid down for 6 to 10 years, during which time it will gain in complexity and develop more spicy and slightly woody notes.
