Château de Moncastel is a wine estate located in the Lalande de Pomerol appellation, on Bordeaux's right bank. Although less well known than some of Pomerol's neighboring estates, it nevertheless produces quality red wines, often from Merlot and Cabernet Franc grapes. With its well-tended vineyards and commitment to winemaking tradition, Château de Moncastel offers wines that are elegant, expressive and representative of its terroir.

The Lalande de Pomerol appellation is located on the right bank of the Bordeaux wine region. It is renowned for producing elegant, full-bodied red wines, often made from Merlot and Cabernet Franc grapes. The 1993 vintage in the region was marked by mixed weather conditions, with a cool spring followed by a hot, dry summer, resulting in wines that were generally light to medium-bodied, with lively acidity and supple tannins.
